How The Life Group Stewards Its Mission
Imagine this: You’ve been entrusted with a precious gift—a talent, a resource, or even a calling from God. Do you bury it in the ground out of fear, keeping it safe but stagnant? Or do you invest it boldly, multiplying it for His glory, even when resources feel limited and the path uncertain?
This is the heart of the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14–30, where Jesus teaches that faithful stewardship isn’t about playing it safe—it’s about using what God has given us to expand His Kingdom.
At The Life Group, we wrestle with this question daily. Do we stay small, focusing only on our own corner of the world, or do we believe God has called us to equip Christians everywhere to become better stewards? With time, expertise, and finances entrusted to us, how do we steward our mission effectively?
This is our story—and how it might inspire yours.
1. Our Foundation as Stewards
The Life Group (www.thelifegroup.org) is a Christian financial advising firm dedicated to helping families plan for the future while honoring Biblical convictions.
We’re not just about numbers. As Psalm 24:1 reminds us:
“The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”
That means viewing wealth as God’s provision to steward, not to own. Our services—wealth management, investment planning, estate planning, tax strategies, insurance reviews, and charitable giving solutions like Donor Advised Funds—are all delivered through a Biblical lens.
This stewardship of expertise is key. 1 Corinthians 4:2 says, “It is required of stewards that they be found faithful.” God has given us financial wisdom, and our call is to use it for the good of His people, not to hoard it.
2. Life Institute: Teaching Stewardship Everywhere
Life Institute (www.lifeinstitute.org) is our teaching arm. It equips Christians to build a Biblical framework for financial decisions—covering topics many pastors don’t have time to address in depth, such as debt management, retirement planning, and generosity.
Our flagship event, the Stewardship Lifestyle Seminar, is a three-day, in-person experience hosted by churches nationwide. We help believers create budgets, plan for the future, and give generously—rooted in Proverbs 21:20:
“Precious treasure and oil are in a wise man’s dwelling, but a foolish man devours it.”
Other offerings include:
- Personal Stewardship Review – One-on-one financial coaching.
- Seniors Seminar – Helping retirees steward resources wisely.
- Partnering Ministry Program – Strengthening churches through collaboration.
We also provide resources like The Good Steward book, our 20-Day Study in Stewardship devotional, and Life in the Markets updates to help believers navigate finances without compromising faith.
Like the widow’s mite in Mark 12:41–44, it’s not about the size of the offering—it’s about the heart.
3. The Stewardology Podcast: Reaching Beyond Our Walls
The Stewardology Podcast blends theology with practical financial advice. We talk about everything from budgeting to estate planning, all through the lens of Colossians 3:23:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Weekly episodes help listeners everywhere—far beyond our seminar reach—begin the journey toward Biblical stewardship.
4. Ministry Over Profit
Here’s the truth: We could make more money by cutting ministry programs and focusing solely on client services. But as Matthew 6:33 tells us,
“Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Our mission comes first. Ministry costs us financially, but enriches us spiritually. And in God’s economy, giving often leads to growth—just as Luke 6:38 promises.
5. What This Means for You
God has entrusted you with resources—whether that’s skills, finances, influence, or time. Are you investing them to expand His Kingdom, or keeping them safe but unused?
Start small:

- Attend a seminar when it comes to your church.

Remember, as Luke 16:10 says, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”
Our Invitation
At The Life Group, we’ve chosen to step out in faith—investing our profits, expertise, and energy into seminars, resources, and teaching that put God’s mission before our own gain.
We’ve seen God multiply these efforts, transforming lives and funding ministries. We’d love for you to be part of that story.
